Committees

The committee consists of five non-executive members of the Board. The principal responsibility of the committee is development of syllabuses which comply with global standards. Other roles include: review and recommend strategies for management of examinations, receive and consider examiners’ reports and guide the release of results; advise the board on matters incidental to the management and administration of examinations; review and recommend rules and regulations regarding the standard of proficiency to be gained in each examination; review and consider applications for exemptions and credit transfers; review and approve list of qualifying candidates who have satisfied the examination requirements for award of certificates and other awards.

This committee consists of five members all of whom are non-executive members of the Board. This committee has oversight on all  financial  issues  including  budgets,  financial  reporting  process  and controls and procurement, human resource matters including recruitment and management succession.

MARM Committee consists of five members all of whom are non-executive members of the Board. The main focus of the committee is to raise KISEB’s relevance and visibility to appropriate standards through implementation of marketing, accreditation and resource mobilization strategies.

The committee consists of four non-executive members of the Board. The Audit, Risk and Governance (BARG) Committee assists the Board in fulfilling its oversight responsibilities for the financial reporting process, the system of internal control, the audit process, and the Board’s process for monitoring compliance with laws and regulations. In addition, the committee continuously evaluates the effectiveness of the risk management processes to ensure that adequate risk management strategies are being implemented.
