Dr. Fred Ongisa possesses extensive knowledge in supply chain management, the education sector, business strategy, stakeholder engagement, training, and the laws of Kenya, gained over 18 years of experience in teaching, training, management, curriculum development, and examination administration. He has served as the Chairperson of the Multi-Agency Taskforce on the Supply Chain Management Professional Framework, Chairperson of the Capacity Building and Public Procurement Reforms Committee, Vice-Chairperson of the Taskforce on the Sustainable Public Procurement Framework, a member of the Committee on the Review of the Public Procurement and Asset Disposal Act (PPADA), 2015, and a member of the Technical Committee on the Public Finance Management Reform Strategy. He also serves as an External Reviewer of Supply Chain Management curricula for several universities.
Dr. Ongisa is a fellow of the Kenya Institute of Supplies Management (KISM) and a member of the APMG International. He holds a PhD in Supply Chain Management, a Master’s degree in Procurement and Logistics, a Postgraduate Diploma in Purchasing and Supplies Management, the Certified PPP Professional (CP3P) qualification, and a Bachelor of Education degree.
